I’m just a Mama on the Edge trying to find my footing in this bittersweet season of life. My son, my only child, is heading into his senior year of high school, and every moment feels like a mix of joy, nostalgia, and let’s be honest… total confusion.
This blog is my way of making sense of all the “lasts” and the “firsts”: the last first day of high school, the last school dance, the last high school play; then there’s the first campus tour, the first college application, and the first acceptance letter.
If you’re a fellow mama walking this emotional tightrope, I get it. Some days feel like your heart might burst from pride, and other days it shatters just a little as you watch them slip further into adulthood. The ache is real, the joy is fierce, and the love—well, it’s the kind that leaves you breathless. So let’s hold on to each other through this wild, beautiful, heartbreaking journey. We’re not meant to do this alone.
